Located in Adelaide, South Australia, Hern & Associates has grown from humble beginnings to a team of specialised staff that will help you with all your tax needs and business solutions. Brian Hern began the practice in 1977 working from home completing tax returns, gradually growing it into a successful accounting practice.
After a short term on Greenhill Road, Brian and his new business partner, Maria Keszler, are excited to be back in the Walkerville area, where they assist many community based organisations with advice and audit services.

Our office is family focussed and we provide facilities for families including baby change table and toy boxes to entertain our little clients.

THE ASSOCIATES

Brian Hern Partner

Brian, with the support of wife Bronwyn, after conducting a tax agent service from home in 1977 set about in earnest in June 1994 to establish a business which became Hern Financial Services. The years have seen the business outgrow three premises. At all times Brian has reserved time to communicate with people and established a strong community commitment and service role. This has included involvement in an Inter-country Adoption Agency, Church committees (both local and state level), the Aged Care sector and as Trustee of a Cemeteries Trust.

Maria Keszler Partner

Maria and Brian started working together in 2009. One of Maria’s goals when she became an accountant was to become owner of an accounting firm and in 2014 she has been able to achieve that goal. With more than ten years in the Public Accounting arena, she possesses a wide range of knowledge and is well equipped to undertake complex accounting work and advisory services.

Adrienne Gill Client Services and Marketing

Adrienne’s role is to ensure that clients receive the high quality service and attention that Hern & Associates strive for. Adrienne also looks after the marketing and website management. A proud mum to 2 beautiful girls, Adrienne is thrilled to be working in a family friendly environment.

Kristy Frentsch Director of First Impressions

Kristy has returned to Hern & Associates as Director of First Impressions on a part time basis and will generally be your first point of contact over the phone, by email or in person. Kristy has worked in administration for the accounting industry for 11 years (10 of those years with Brian Hern)

Bronwyn Hern Office Manager

After a brief “retirement” Bronwyn is very happy to be back working part-time in an office admin role, supporting Brian and Maria as they re-establish their practice again in the Walkerville community. The welcome back from local folk has been very encouraging for us all.

Lyndal is our Director of First Impressions at Hern & Associates.

Lyndal came to us from Westpac and is also part of the Hern family. Lyndal is at the front desk welcoming clients and helping with any queries. She looks forward to meeting clients in the busy tax season.
